EXPOTUR 2012 cordially invites you to be one of the responsible travelers who helps to diminish the gas emissions (Tco2e) generated by air travel to Costa Rica.
Presently, “Clean Trip” is the most novel initiative offered by the government of Costa Rica so that you can help to protect the forests, water and biodiversity of this country. This is done through the Environmental Services Payment Program (PSA) managed by the National Forestry Financing Fund (FONAFIFO). The funds obtained are invested 100% in forestry projects.
The procedure is voluntary and simple. People who travel by train, air, water or land transportation generate gas emissions that produce the greenhouse effect. Thus with the “Clean Trip” program, they can offset this effect.
The Ministry of environment, energy and telecommunications (MINAET) through the National Forestry Financing Fund (FONAFIFO) and its Environmental Services Payment Program guarantee that the resources received through the program are invested accordingly. |
